Like a vineyard, a Leafcutter ant excites the attention of nearly every observer. Their collective energy and innovative spirit are both beautiful and inspiring. 60 million years ago, a Leafcutter first formed a complex society to farm fungal gardens and celebrated the first harvest festival.

This skilled farmer, just like a wine producer, works in collaboration and symbiosis, thus sharing her harvest with millions of the colony offspring in conviviality. This act allowed for the ant’s subsequent diversification into over 230 forage-approved species.

Through farming and fermentation, first achieved by the Leafcutter ant, we have achieved civilization.
